The book “Faz Diferença” was born out of a challenge issued by Bruaá to the Portuguese writer Jacinto Lucas Pires to work on the theme of nuance, so necessary in these days of increasingly black and white writing.
To accompany the text, illustrations were commissioned from Italian illustrator Alice Piaggio, whose accurate and vibrant work amplifies the text and invites the reader to join in this journey through the nuances that life offers us.
Alice Piaggio was born in Genoa but grew up in Bogliasco, a small village of surfers and fishermen. She lives in Ticino, Switzerland, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, green meadows and chestnut woods.
Winner of the Illustri Prize 2019 in the Magazine and Newspaper category. Co-founder of PELO magazine. She collaborates with Italian and foreign magazines and publishers. Her work was selected in 2021 among the 20 most promising young Italian illustrators by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and was exhibited at the Eccellenze Italiane exhibition.
