Figueira da Foz will host the 16th Encontro Ibero-Brasileiro de Capoeira, on 15 and 16 July/2022, an event organised by Desperta Capacidade – Associação Desportiva, Recreativa, Cultural e Social, with the support of the Figueira da Foz City Council.
The programme includes the participation of mestres, teachers and practitioners from Portugal, Spain and Brazil, totalling 120 athletes who will perform, on 15 and 16 July, in various locations around the city, presentations/performances and workshops of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian cultural expression that mixes martial art, sport, popular culture, dance and music.
The workshops are open to free participation by children, young people and adults, promoting cultural, sports and recreational interaction with the community.
