Synopsis: Gu Wentong is a divorced food critic with a daughter he left in the care of his sister. The discovery of his father’s location, with whom he has had no contact since he was a child, in a coastal town 300 kilometres from Beijing, and a new relationship with a photographer colleague, will lead him to reconsider his roles in life as father, son and lover.
In this romantic and enchanting film, Zhang Lü explores the possibility of recovering all the emotional and spiritual fragments that are lost throughout life in order to prevent them from being forgotten. People get closer to each other and move away again, but the images and sounds remain to bear witness to their passing.
