Synopsis: In front of the camera, filmmaker Victor Sjöström brings to life Dr Isak Borg, who evokes his past while travelling by car to receive his honorary doctorate from Lund University. Bergman films him exemplarily, transporting the viewer through a meditation on childhood and old age.
