Success has accompanied the various Tretas over the years and, in 2024, in the digital age and with the power of social networks, a new life of this universe arrives – ‘Amigos da Treta’ – with José Pedro Gomes and Aldo Lima.
The influencers, the coaching and lifestyle gurus, artificial intelligence and natural stupidity – the new rubbish that joins the usual rubbish and makes this world of rubbish grow, where more and more is said about… rubbish.
Jóni, Zézé’s friend who left to do Erasmus in a distant land, now returns to the neighbourhood from the bowels of the earth. Literally. Not least because, as soon as he arrives, he falls into the hole in the metro expansion works and partially tears the cruciate ligament in his electronic cigarette.
Jóni, self-proclaimed guru of hashtag-god-in-command spirituality and kombucha smoothie-based medicine, is greeted by an emotional Zezé, who has never forgotten his friend… except for his name, face, voice, hairstyle and where he used to live. Now they’re going to catch up, reminisce about the past, which they both agree is a kind of future that has fallen by the wayside, comment on the present, which they both believe is a past that is happening at that very moment, and predict the future, which is nothing more than a past that insists on being present but is always late because it has a craze.
