Conservatório David de Sousa takes “Romeo and Juliet” to CAE
Inspired by the work of the world renowned poet and playwright of England and the “Bard of Avon”, William Shakespeare, the David de Sousa Conservatory of Music innovates again with the adaptation of a work that portrays a pure love between two teenagers, who are recognized as timeless icons of romantic love, with a family dispute as background.
This classic of world literature presents a love represented by light, but which can only be lived in the shadows. Romeo and Juliet saw the light in each other, which contrasted with the hatred of the rival families Capulet and Montague.
This production of the David de Sousa Conservatory will take to the stage of the Centro de Artes e Espectáculos large auditorium on April 5, and will feature the students of the Escola do Ensino Artístico Especializado of the municipality in dance, theatre and music.
