“The Great Journey and the Poem of My Child Jesus” is a set of seven photographic groups, which were taken on the trek of November 2022, almost entirely through the one hundred and twenty kilometres of the Himalayas, from the said Sherpa country in Nepal, traversing the glacial valley of the Khumbu to the base Camp of Everest at 5364 metres high and rising to the Kalaphatar at 5644 metres.
The photographs seek to take note of the majestic landscape as the excited earth stretches out to touch the sky, of fleeting moments that impress us, of old things that tell us of new things and the unusual experiences of submissive animals and great people.
This exhibition also marks the month of poetry, travelling through Pessoa as he walks on his journey Alberto Caeiro, in the Poem of the Baby Jesus.
Because as an unknown person somewhere said,
“Photography eternalises moments.
Poetry eternalises feelings.
Photography is the Poetry of the Image.
Poetry is the Photography of Feelings. ”
